Hop, un nouveau topic dans la section musique, ça faisait longtemps.

Aujourd'hui, je vous présente la merveilleuse série des Orchestral Game Concert.



Tout d'abord, qu'est ce que les Orchestral Game Concert ? Ce sont tout simplement les premières vrais réorchestrations de musique de jeux-video. Elles sont arrivées entre 1991 et 1996 et forment un total de 5 CD bien remplies.

Ces musiques proviennent à 95% de jeux sortis sur NES et SNES. Autant dire que ces musiques plairont surtout aux fans des RPG sortis à l'époque où Nintendo dominait le marché du jeu-vidéo.
On retrouve bien evidemment les grands noms du monde des jeux-vidéo dans ces albums : Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy), Koji Kondo (Mario, Zelda), Hayato Matsuo (Front Mission, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest), Koichi Sugiyama (Dragon Quest) et même Yoko Kanno qui a participé à la composition et à la réorchestration des morceaux.

On retrouve bien evidemment les grosses séries de l'époque : Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Mario ou encore Kirby. Les musiques de ces séries là ont été très diffusées et sont déjà très connues. Ce qui fait la valeur des Orchestral Game Concert, ce sont les musiques des jeux plus obscures. Je pense nottement aux musiques de Lennus II, que j'ai trouvé extrêmement complexes et très bien travaillées.
J'ai passé de très bons moments à écouter ces pistes, et j'éspère avoir suscité un semblant de curiosité dans vos esprits déprimés par la reprise du travail =]
